I have zero issues if an official is physically handicapped. And to a certain extent, if an individual has some neurological issues I still think they can be a great public servant. Folks that might be on the spectrum have something going on but that doesn't mean they should be excluded. In fact, sometimes their focus would make them the best candidate for a job.

I don't blame the folks of PA for backing him pre-stroke. Especially if they felt like he was one of them. But they shouldn't have Weekend At Bernie'd the guy after a stroke that clearly had debilitating effects. Just give the guy his healthcare for his own sake, let him recover, & have a special election to replace him. If his wife wins, which she might, then there you go.
