Why isn't the regressive left coming to the defense of Nazis?

Islamic fundamentalism is a much greater evil in today's society than Nazism. Every week, one of the millions of Islamic terrorists commits a heinous act of violence against innocent people, only for it to be dismissed by the regressive left as an isolated incident, telling us that we shouldn't judge the entire religion by nearly daily attacks on our way of life.

You would think these same folks would be defending the neo nazis who generally march peacefully, but had one isolated incident where one of their members mowed down a group of people, killing someone. One death is one too many, but leftists constantly remind us that Islam is a peaceful religion and for us not to judge the entire religion and it adherents by the acts of, well, many of its adherents.

What's the big difference between Islam and neo nazism? Both promote hate and intolerance. Both believe those who aren't like them should be punished and even killed. You could argue that Islam is even more violent and even less tolerant than neo nazism. It most definitely has a larger list of victims this century. So why does the left love one but hate the other?

There were twice that many AMERICANS killed in 4 MONTHS by nazi forces in ww2. People remember, and rightly so. There's still a half million living veterans from that war, not counting civilians who lived through that time who are still alive. People remember.
