I think that's why Doc is speeding us up today. He's preparing for the next two games IMO. He works never admit to it but I believe he is.

First half we did really well getting the offense in gear. Second half has been a disappointment. Hopefully we can get back on track a little in the 4th and carry the momentum to next game. I think we can win against Middle Tennessee and FIU playing like this but I think we need to play better to beat WKU.

I know Charlotte is ranked well in CUSA run defense but our O line has had trouble opening up running lanes most of the season against several teams
I sat in the endzone yesterday and the holes were there. They did a pretty good job opening them up for most of the game
Charlotte's run defense did an outstanding job of tackling, probably better than any of our opponents all year.
Yes that does seem to be the case but I do wonder how much has had to do with teams daring Chase to beat them while keeping 7 or more in the box. His success will do wonders for the running game and ease the pressure on the Oline.
Now one thing I have been noticing the last two games is the front 4 on defense not getting much pressure again, usually had to blitz to get it.
Honest question...how or what have they done to make you feel they are any more arrogant than our players? I am seriously asking because I have seen our guys gesturing and stuff after simple plays, not just scores or sacks.
I have not watched WKU except against ODU, and I did not see them acting anymore arrogant than any other team. Is there something that leads you to say this? Or is it b/c they are headed towards a big showdown with us and they beat us last year?
I sit on row 1 behind the visitors. I've been there for I can't remember how long. I've never seen a team come in to The Joan, cockier, mouthier or more belligerent. I was amazed that their staff allowed them to act that way.
WKU did come to the Joan looking to get us off our mental game. I guarantee you that they were talking major smack all game and were definitely looking to get in our heads. To be honest, I'd like to see us give them a taste of their own medicine. Show up to Bowling Green knowing that we're the defending conference champs and that it's gonna stay that way!
Just my own observations having watched them , their coach on several occasions on tv and last year at the Joan.Go to their message board and their fans are at ease. They have one good season and now they are a dynasty. One stinking play and now they act like we don't even measure up. Time to put a smack down on them.
I was somewhat near you that game, and I saw all of that. Including the sssshhhing and capped off by the Doughty throat slash when it was over.

I agree, but its a bit over the top to throat slash the crowd.
During the best MAC years we had Toledo and Miami.......Western Michigan and Bowling Green sometimes.....We need that in CUSA.

personally, i think it's pretty f'g awesome... but then again, i'm 37 and just typed "f'g awesome"...
throwing a punch at an opposing player ala Woody Hayes may be over the top (unless it was a UCF player)... but a good throat slash never hurt anybody... unless a blade was involved.................
Im 34. old timer. So when he did that would you have approved of our crowd throwing stuff back at them etc. the GBMHDA detective agency is considering a return (not on Herd Nation) to go after WKU QB and Coach.
The only problem with WKU is this; they are not a great football program yet. This season they have a really good team with a 6th year QB. Look at their record in recent years.For goodness sakes before they pretend to be the second coming of the 80's "U" they might want to do a few things like:

> end a season in the Top 25
> win 10 games in a season as a FBS school.
They are 23-11 the past 2 1/2 seasons. We are 31-6.
