Worst Loss in the History of the Joan

4 home losses also sets the record for most losses in a year at the stadium. Not records any coach wants to be breaking. Doc should be embarrassed.

What's sad is that this staff is killing all the great stats that Chaump-Parrish-Donnan-PRUETT created..... Sad.

1. How long has Coach Holiday been in the business?
2. How long has Mr. Hammrick been is this business?
3. Who hired Mr. Hammrick?

Cant wait to hear Holliday explain this one as well as his summation of the entire season

Thing that should happen at 8:00 tomorrow morning is a meeting in the AD's office - and not regarding another contract extension but the termination of the existing contract if the bulk of the staff is not fired Sunday by 5:00 pm , doesnt happen then the entire staff Holliday included is out. But , this is Hamrick so dont hold your breath for any type of strong action to take place.

The $25million building next to the Joan disagrees.
We really don't have any more money after paying for the building. Think about it, a 10th coaching position has been approved for next season and there has been debate on whether we have enough money to even hire for the position.

Can we get a 2nd mortgage on it ?

After the game, Doc said there were problems with some personnel. Clear as mud, right? It didn't sound to me like he was talking about staff. I too would like to hear an in-depth summation. He may be hanging it on the players, but you know where the buck is supposed to stop.

It is hard to know where to place Doc in the list of head coaches. He had those three 10-win seasons, but in some ways his failures have sunk below the Greg Snyder benchmark.

don't let the illusion of beating a bunch of teams that couldn't win the Southern Conference inflate his coaching ability.

he is 13-27 against FBS teams that finished the regular season with a winning record. if USM wins their bowl game it will be 13-28... 13 wins in 7 years....

Keep posting the stats. That is the best argument.

1997 - 2004 @ 10 losses to MAC teams in 8 years playing in the MAC conference = 1.25 MAC losses per year average

2010- 2016 @ 6 losses to MAC teams in 7 years while playing in CUSA = 1 loss per year = .85 MAC losses per year average

If money is the issue to get rid of Doc and company then just wait for season ticket renewal time.

Doc ain't going anywhere and I'll be surprised if any of the staff goes anywhere. Don't have the cash to get anyone worth a crap.
Rumor has it that, due to the current budget mess in Charleston, that 45% subsidy to the Marshall athletic department is in serious danger of going bye bye. Any type of tax increases have been ruled out, so anything that does not come with federal money attached to it will be CUT. The subsidy and Fairs and Festivals funding are the lowest of the low hanging fruit.

Well, apparently, you are not handling business very well. Two years ago, Marshall was an OT loss to WKU away from playing in a New Year's Six bowl for a multi million dollar payday. Even a loss in that game would have paid dividends. Two years later, the Marshall football program is being lapped by teams that were either FCS or did not even exist 5 years ago.

All very true, actually.

Can he coach?

LOL.

So.. we've almost lost as many games to MAC teams while not even in the F'ing conference under him? Jesus. I'll start it... BRING BACK PRUETT! lol.
