You have that backwards, pinko. Men who hear in lower pitch frequencies, maybe speak with a deep voice (i.e. real men), hear laurel.

FYI, they interviewed the professor that put this exercise out there. He recorded "laurel" but played around with the frequency.
So "laurel" is the correct and final answer of what was actually recorded.
