A few things:
1) He references if McMurphy asked Tom Herman about the days ensuing the strip club visit with the high school coach. There has to be something good buried in that.
2) If he really is going to sue McMurphy, discovery could lead to a whole bunch of shit coming out about Meyer and OSU football.
3) There is absolutely something to the McMurphy and Tom Herman relationship. The post I made about Gene Smith having a history of hiring and defending football coaches with domestic abuse allegations/restraining orders was first sent to McMurphy. He first responded that it was very good info that needed to be looked into (even though I gave him all of the research and sources to archived newspaper stories). Then, about ten days later, he claimed that it didn't have any tie to the story. Gene Smith, one of the four central people in the issue, was definitely tied to the story. His history of ignoring previous domestic assault allegations against his football coaches would have greatly supported Meyer's version that he reported the incident(s). It would have put blame on Gene Smith for having ignored similar incidents in the past. The only reason you wouldn't want to report on this story is if you (or a close friend such as Herman) didn't want to help Urban's side of the story and wanted to paint him as the main culprit in all of this.
That same info about Gene Smith's past was sent to two well-known, national sports reporters. Yesterday, one of them said:
"That's a very compelling narrative, and something that I should definitely follow up on. Thanks for making me aware."
The other reporter echoed the same thing. As much as McMurphy has ran with any development on the situation, it's very odd that he didn't think this was an issue yet the two other major reporters who heard about it immediately jumped on it.
