Here’s a breakdown by conference of $404.8 million paid out by the College Football Playoff after expenses. The tally also does not include a $2.3 million line item for other distributions:

1. Southeastern Conference: $71.4 million ($5.1 million per school)
2. Pac-12 Conference: $68.9 million ($5.74 million per school)
3. Big 12 Conference: $67.4 million ($6.74 million per school)
4. Big Ten Conference: $61.3 million ($5.11 million per school)
5. Atlantic Coast Conference: $57.2 million ($4.08 million per school*)
6. Mountain West Conference: $20.7 million ($1.88 million per school)
7. Conference USA: $15.2 million ($1.086 million per school)
8. American Athletic Conference: $14.1 million ($1.28 million per school)
9. Mid-American Conference: $12 million ($0.923 million per school)
10. Sun Belt Conference: $11.5 million ($1.045 million per school)
11. Independents: $2.8 million

*assumes Notre Dame, as an independent, is not privy to the ACC's payout

It's important to note that these are probably insignificant sums for the P5 conferences when you compare their TV revenues. You see a distinct per-school payout difference among the P5 when considering the number of programs in each.
