Huff hires Shay as TE coach

Was an "offensive analyst" at Missouri last year... Before that, 2 years at LSU as tight ends coach, and a year at McNeese State as tight ends coach.
He wasn’t LSU’s tight ends coach. He was a graduate assistant who coached the tight ends.

His lone year as a full time coach was at McNeese State. I believe that his top two tight ends had four receptions for about 50 yards . . . combined . . . for the season . . . not just a game.

Well if you've been tracking our stats under Huff the TEs are primarily used as blockers. Our TEs only accounted for 24 of the 225 receptions last season. Much hyped Arizona transfer Stacey Marshall Jr had one catch that came in the middle of the 2nd quarter of the first game.

In 2021 our TEs accounted for 54 of the 324 receptions. Gaines had 42, Miller had 10, and Morrell had 2.

It's should also concern people that our total receptions fell off like that.
