It will be interesting to see how we mix up our packages and coverages Saturday. I'm guessing we're going to go with a lot of 3 down and 2 backer fronts and dare them to run or nickel & dime us down the field. However, I hope we can sprinkle in some exotic fronts with 1 or 2 down and 3 or 4 backers to clog up crossing routes.
Should be a fun contest IF we have good ball security on offense.
- Both teams have Top 10 offenses in regards to yardage per game.
- Rasheen Ali leads the country in scoring.
- Zappe leads the country in passing yards (by over 500 yards) and passing TDs (by 10 TDs to 2nd place).
- Sterns leads the country in receptions (33 more than 2nd place), is 2nd in receiving yards, and is 3rd in receiving TDs.
- Both teams do a great job of avoiding sacks - WKU is sacked once every 47 drop backs and Marshall is sacked once every 34 drop backs. By comparison, FIU's QBs are sacked once every 10 drop backs.
