Shouldn’t have gotten the job but did surprisingly well. WVU’s AD pulls the dumbest shit possible bringing in Holgerson & fracturing the fan base. The departure of Rich Rod left wvu in a position for potential disaster. Stewart kept them decently relevant and, in my opinion, good enough to be offered by the Big 12.
Imagine if they completely tanked in the few years between Rich Rod and when they went to the Big 12, I really think they end up in the AAC.
