At 4-4 and with key players graduating this season, at minimum it would appear it’s time to hire some new pieces on the staff.

This will be hard to do with no guarantee beyond next season, hope to hell MU doesn’t extend for 1-2 seasons at the end of this one, it will prolong the fall in my opinion.

Huff has 4 games left to make anything out of this season that started sunny and happy and ended October winless during the month—something not seen since making the jump to IA in ‘97.

It seems inevitable that this staff is fizzling out and will be replaced by the end of next year. Sad to say but 7-6/9-4/4-8 don’t equate to continuing on.

Here’s my list of names that should get a look at the HC spot (in no particular order):

*Willie Simmons - Florida A&M

*Trei Oliver - NCCU

Jason Eck - Idaho

*John Troxell - Lafayette

Brent Vigen - Montana State

*Mike London - William & Mary

*Clay Hendrix - Furman

*Geoff Dartt - Mt Union

*Shawn Litz - Slippery Rock

Brian Wright - Pittsburg State

Pete Sterbick - Colorado School of Mines

I starred the ones who already recruit in our areas.

The one thing all these guys have in common is they’re all winners wherever they’ve been. Most are offense guru’s with some insane stats.

Do you all think we extend Huff? He cuts 2 staff members and replaces them? He’s gone at seasons end if we’re 4-8?
