Only "downer", IMO, in this season's schedule is that the JMU game, on a Thursday night, is the ONLY home game the entire month of October, usually the month with the most temperate weather the entire football season. 2 road games before JMU and 2 after. In November, we have 4 games, half at home, half on the road.

I never thought us playing a home game on ABC would be possible again after the 2000 MAC title game. At least the path is there to do it again. Just have to out compete with the AAC for the spot.

We have the schedule this year to be in the access bowl conversation. Make a good run through the regular season and we could find ourselves playing the CCG on ABC for a shot at something bigger. I love the SBC.

Sorry, just a traditionalist who considers football a "fall" sport, best played in autumn like conditions, weather, etc. We all know that everything now is based on ONE overriding factor, i.e., MONEY!!!! Others can relish watching pro Hockey and Basketball almost through mid-summer, but I'll find something else to engage my time!!
