16 years later. What do we do with the shit hole of the world?

Nearly 16 years after 9-11 we are still in the shit hole of the world. Since this past weekend we have lost 3 soldiers(2 Army Rangers, 1 paratrooper). They are over there rooting out the neanderthals.

But, I don't know what the answer is. Will we be sitting here in 16 more years discussing this? I believe we will.

One theory is to say screw it. Bring them all home and hope for the best. Downside is, then it festers and spreads and we have another 9-11 or what is going on in Europe. The ding dong goat herders have a place to nest and plan like Ben Laden did.

Next theory is, we ramp up but then we see more casualties and we are there forever doing this. I don't know how you change cave men.

So honestly, what the hell do we do? I am not arguing. I don't know if anybody has the answer. I don't know if there is a viable solution.

I don't disagree. I am not fund of them either. The problem was Afghanistan and the Taliban allowed a place for the terrorist to have a base camp and means of doing what they did.

Well, we had to do something after 9-11. The Taliban govt was a problem and Al Qeada was there in a large way.

I understand Baghdad was actually a nice city. I hear Tehran is nice, and beautiful. I wouldn't mind a visit if the government and radicals were not against Americans. And I recognize that's our fault (Operation Ajax). Religion and oppression will lead to violence. Mix both and there will be hell to pay eventually. 2 things:

First of all, you have to be pretty slow to require 15 years to come to this conclusion. There was a guy out Wayne who told you 10-12 years ago that if we didn't pull out of the middle east that we would be there without end. You remember your response? "Oh no, the military has a plan, you'll see, they have a long term plan and it'll be taken care of."

Secondly, you were told by cheetos that he had a foolproof plan to defeat ISIS quickly and decisively. We both know that if cheetos tells you something, you can take it to the bank.
