It's bullcrap, kid did nothing wrong. Kinda reminds a person of the movie Blindside. Regardless, he is getting a shot a D1 ball still, maybe not at a P5 school, but I am sure this can play out for him better in the long run (no pun intended). Glad to have him on board.
That sounds like the kind of kid we should all want representing the Herd. Don't know anything about his ability, or whether he'll ever see the field, but here's hoping he uses this opportunity to get his education and rise above the circumstances he's been dealt - and maybe help some others along the way. God bless him and his family, as well as his adopted family.

I will be cheering for McDaniel and praying he graduates from Marshall. In fact, if he is looking for a job after college...I will offer him a job in Charlotte at our company.....

He had a very impressive offer list before all that went down. I would say the talent level is there.
