Clinton f*cked up. She just keeps letting critical security information out. She's getting dterd and Greed goofy-like.
What she revealed turned out to be fairly common knowledge amongst those who would need to care about such timing.
It is common knowledge among anyone that knows anything about national security issues. It's a factor of simple math.
The Department of Defense itself long ago made it public knowledge in a documentary filmed on nuclear proliferation. They even filmed an actual drill for it.
Which means the response time is not 4 minutes. False propaganda.
What means that? That it is common knowledge? It is. My second paragraph alludes to the fact that "how" things happen is not secret. Rocket science is not a secret. That orders have to be sent and launch keys turned is not a secret. How many nukes we have is not a secret. Technical details and codes are secret...but everyone knows how fast each missile accelerates because of physics and stuff.
Or you just think you know more than you do, because you were in the Army?
Dude, it is simple math. And since I am not teaching math or a rocket science course you can google it. Missiles have to reach a certain altitude before we even know where the target is. It would be a bitch to nuke China when all they did is finally decide North Korea is a burden.
Keep in mind that the time for decision making is before an actual response, and after the President is actually notified. That takes a couple of minutes, too. There is no magic button that launches an attack lol. There is another couple minutes (gotta format EAM's) before shit is fired, and another minute before EAM is verified, missile is fire and out of blast radius (because the first thing targeted will be our missile sites and strategic air bases). POTUS has five minutes at best, and less if it is subs off the coast firing (12 minute flight time vs 30)..but both sides assume subs fire last in the case of all-out exchange.
Google "launch under attack" for more details about how the timeline is actually a component of detering an attack under MAD.
I'll see if I can pull up a journal article on that, but I don't know if you can read it without a subscription.
No, it doesn't mean I think I know more. What it means is they are not going to give away what response times are. They might make a documentary that give some details, but it won't answer everything.
They intentionally mislead all the time.
