How many 4-6ft waves have crashed in to you while standing at the waters edge in ankle deep water??

Again, I’m not arguing that rip currents don’t happen. Not arguing children and adults can’t drown due to rip currents. Just stating as this story is written/described, something just isn’t exactly right with it.

Let’s just hope this tragedy isn’t worsened by an investigation that turns up being another mother attempting to off herself and child, only to panic and attempt to reverse her decision....after it was too late.

Where the kid drown is a thin area of the beach and it is common for the water to reach the dunes and even into the street by the ocean. Very possible if there was high surf and no beach hardly to walk on. This is very near the spot.
