AAC News

Smart moves by Colorado State and especially the USAFA. The MWC is stable and, by modern standards, reasonably geographically logical, and offers a high level of competition, without the need to spew idiotic slogans like “power 6”. It also has teams in some of the fastest growing states in the country.

If none of the best MWC teams are willing to defect to the AAC, the next iteration of the AAC will be in no way better than the current MWC... No sense in making a lateral jump just for the sake of jumping and incurring more travel expenses and logistical headaches.

If you are Boise, SDSU, Air Force, etc, would you rather be in a stable, competitive, G5 league with other western teams... Or move in to a league with ECU, Memphis, South Florida, etc that isn't any better on the football field and is spread out beyond imagination.

The MWC could really get ballsy and try to pluck Tulsa and SMU from the AAC. Not only are we not joining, we are going to make your nonsense league even weaker.
