AAC: The Hyacinth Bucket Conference

Boise was also considered to be in a stronger conference, IIRC.
Not exactly.

As the "Big" East was collapsing, it was offered a reasonable and thoughtful deal with the other two legitimate mid-majors, the Mountain West and CUSA. The delusional "Big" East continued to harangue and argue that it "really" belonged in the true majors, keeping its (always undeserved) slot in the BcS. At one point for a few weeks it was going to go national, changing its name to this silly THE AMERICAN!!!!!!! and getting Boise State Community along with San Diego State and some others. Boise State Community parlayed this into an unequal deal with the Mountain West. It has its own deal with ESPN (which TELLS the stupid that what it is seeing is important), separate from the Mountain West. And the delusional THE AMERICAN!!!!!! picked up Tulane.

Boise State Community was never offered, and never will be offered, a slot in any conferences besides THE AMERICAN!!!! and the Mountain West. Its all a part of the ESPN sham that is its so-called "playoffs".

I find it amusing that some of you make fun of a conference that is basically the same as CUSA back when we joined it in 2005, and that we would join now if extended an invite.

Is it as good as a P5? No, of course not. Is it better than CDOA now? Easily, other than the exit/entry fees we might incur.
In what ways is it better than C-USA?
Money, ESPN Exposure, Competition, Athletic Budgets, NCAA Bids, Bowls...just about every way possible...and just wait til CUSA has to renegotiate it's TV deal without UCF, ECU, and Houston football...along with Memphis hoops.

In reality, Memphis hoops is more valid than anything. Houston football? I think the Case Kennum years have faded.

Marshall fans are so desperate to join the AAC, that they constantly make threads trying to convince themselves that CUSA is just as good if not better. I'm sorry, but you guys have neither the market, the academics, the dedication to improve your athletics to become P5 worthy nor the fan support to warrant an AAC invite. That's just the way things are, it's nothing personal but it's a standard we have to uphold.

Herd in the plains is the same idiot who tried to make a troll thread about O'Korn transferring to Michigan not realizing that he was benched early in the season. Then when I corrected him, he never replied. Lmao

In 2014 UCF won the Fiesta Bowl and UCONN Men and Women's basketball teams won the national championship. Has that been mentioned?

It was an anomaly that CUSA ranked above AAC, largely because of Marshall. I remember back in 1999, one could have easily argued that the MAC was better than the Big East top to bottom. Now it is put to the schools to see if they can keep it going. I think we'll more than hold up our end of the bargain.
