I can’t remember the last Time I thought we were the better coached team.
It looked so sloppy. Get a turnover, make a turnover. I can’t imagine why Kinsey played another year for this.
Once more they dig an early hole they can't unclimb. This team can't afford to be down 15 or more at halftime.....to any team.
Early critics are being proven right. D'Antoni cannot both coach and recruit at the level necessary to make MU a respected and successful mid major program. He was, and is, simply a successful high school coach, not withstanding the time spent in the NBA holding a clipboard while on his brother's staff!
Our "do not guard anyone" defense doesn't work... Despite what DD might say, basketball is played on both ends of the hardwood... Give up 90 to a not very good FAU team and you are going to lose. Simple as that.
Spot on! We have the poorest fundamentals of any team I have seen. We throw up the 3 and turn and run back down the court. If DD and staff can't see this is not working they need to find another occupation. Tired of hearing the excuses. The team and staff have no excitement and no leadership. Obinna and Early are improving with each game. The rest are digressing.

Watch the team during timeouts and and couple times tonight not 1 of the 5 that were in the game at given time were remotely paying attention to what was being said.
During the second half had players yelling at Danny to change defense during a Florida Atlantic scoring run…..and when down 15 we had 4 guys on the bench cutting up and having a good time talking to a couple guys sitting in the stands.
And finally after postgame press conference Danny comes out with a box of popcorn laughing and having a good time with a couple media members.
Team hasn’t won a game now in a month and everyone seems to be enjoying getting their head kicked in. Florida Atlantic is one of the two worst teams in the conference and they come here and dominate…..I guess that makes us now one of the two worst teams in the conference

Marshall needs to stop this good ol boy crap and hire coaches that actually can coach at the college level. If something is not done soon, it is going to be too late. We may never recover from these years of bad hiring. I hope this new administration can see what has happened the last 15 or so years in BB and FB and get this mess straightened out.

If a 56% winning percentage in a shitty league with an annually weak OOC schedule is what you're happy with, then Herd hoops are for you. Might as well recruit 100% of your players from Logan and Mingo Counties. Hillbilly ball with a coach that wears a tshirt and brings popcorn to his postgame press conference and laughs about embarrassing losses to alphabet U's.
Oh no no no. How dare anyone criticize a coach who is a son of Marshall. Son of Marshall fits. Coach? Not so much. Change may be in order. Guess the new president will wait for the new AD before any action may occur.
I think Dan needs to put Kinsey at small forward instead of shooting guard. He is not an outside shooter, does not have the quick first step to drive to the bucket, and is barely adequate as a ball handler. His high school days were spent in the paint, I suspect, so he never had to develop guard skills. He obviously would not be tall enough to play forward in the NBA, but Dan does not have to play him at a position that is hurting overall team performance. Recruiting needs to focus on a quick point guard that has a decent outside shot. Taylor, Braun, and Early are not point guards like I am seeing on college teams I watch on television. Point guard is as critical as a QB in football.
When people figure out that the emperor has no clothes it gets really ugly, really quickly. Most of the fan base is finally getting to where many were long ago. This is a nice old man who was a HS coach and then carried a clipboard for his little brother, a journeyman NBA coach for a while. He has a gimmick offence that doesn't really work, and is trying to recruit like southern WV still had the population and prosperity of his long ago youth, and comes up with witty sayings and slogans, winning most press conferences easily. Most of these players simply do not belong at this level, nor does he. Oh, and, once, from 4th place he had an 8 day hot streak.
It is time for him to go, along with the whole staff.
