In an interview with WIBX 950 in New York on Wednesday, moderate Republican Rep. Richard Hanna said House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy was speaking the truth when he said this month that the committee had successfully injured Clinton.

“Sometimes the biggest sin you can commit in D.C. is to tell the truth,” Hanna told the upstate New York radio station. “This may not be politically correct, but I think that there was a big part of this investigation that was designed to go after people and an individual, Hillary Clinton.”

So a guy that isn't remotely involved with anything about the special committee has intimate knowledge of what's going on?!?! Yep that makes sense

Some are finally saying what many knew all along. Political nonsense at taxpayers expense.

To start 2 wars including one that is a personal vendetta. Why not think so, I mean we did train ISIS

AQ was trained by Clintons CIA. If you blame Bush for ISIS you must blame Clinton for 9/11. Right?

The training of afghan fighters occurred in the 80's (before Clinton), and from what I've read, bin laden and alqueda were neither trained nor funded by the CIA.

My God son regardless of what he said they were, there so move on. I have no idea why W would say anything other than they were there. But the FACT REMAINS, There were WMD in IRAQ.

There were NO active wmds in Iraq when we invaded. The reason w said there were no wmds there is because there were none there. Son.

How about the 550 metric tons of Yellowcake shipped from Iraq to Canada?

Proof you say . . . .

"The last major remnant of Saddam Hussein's nuclear program, a huge stockpile of concentrated natural uranium, reached Montreal on Saturday to complete a top-secret U.S. operation.

The removal of 550 metric tonnes of "yellowcake," the seed material for higher-grade nuclear enrichment, included a two-week airlift from Baghdad and a voyage across two oceans.

The Iraqi government sold the yellowcake to a Canadian uranium producer, Cameco Corp., in a transaction the official described as worth "tens of millions of dollars."

A Cameco spokesman, Lyle Krahn, said the yellowcake will be processed at facilities in Ontario for use in energy-producing reactors.

"We are pleased … that we have taken [the yellowcake] from a volatile region into a stable area to produce clean electricity," Krahn said.

U.S. and Iraqi forces have guarded the 9,300-hectare yellowcake site since its discovery."

So I guess since they moved it in 2008 means it was not there when we invaded, right? We all know they never used or had intentions of using it for anything other than peaceful uses. Look go back to your liberal make believe world and pretend that Saddam Hussein didn't ever use WMD or have any. We all know we can trust the liberal press to tell the truth. Talk about credible sources isn't CNBC the same guys that used Brian Williams?

extragreen,

You and herdman need to take off your tin foil hats. There were no active wmd's found in Iraq. No amount of spin will change that fact. The only wmds were those that had been discarded circa 1991. The yellowcake you so badly want to verify as a wmd had been under lock since that time. The president you voted for twice admitted there were NO WMDS FOUND IN IRAQ during the war there. If you and herdman won't take w's word for it, (he certainly would not want to admit it) then you simply choose to live in delusion.

President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998.

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."
Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998.

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others
Oct. 9, 1998.

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998.

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies."
Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999.

"There is no doubt that . Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies."
Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and others, Dec, 5, 2001.

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them."
Sen. Carl Levin (d, MI), Sept. 19, 2002.

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."
Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002.

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seing and developing weapons of mass destruction."
Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002.

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."
Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002.

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force — if necessary — to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002.

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years . We also should remember we have alway s underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."
Sen. Jay Rockerfeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002,

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do."
Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002.

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction. "[W]ithout question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation. And now he has continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real ...
Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003.

My God son regardless of what he said they were, there so move on. I have no idea why W would say anything other than they were there. But the FACT REMAINS, There were WMD in IRAQ.

THAT - REMINDS ME OF THIS:

A Japanese soldier who hunkered down in the jungles of the Philippines for nearly three decades, refusing to believe that World War II had ended, has died in Tokyo. Hiroo Onoda was 91 years old.

In 1944, Onoda was sent to the small island of Lubang in the western Philippines to spy on U.S. forces in the area. Allied forces defeated the Japanese imperial army in the Philippines in the latter stages of the war, but Onoda, a lieutenant, evaded capture. While most of the Japanese troops on the island withdrew or surrendered in the face of oncoming American forces, Onoda and a few fellow holdouts hid in the jungles, dismissing messages saying the war was over.

After losing his comrades to various circumstances, Onoda was eventually persuaded to come out of hiding in 1974.

His former commanding officer traveled to Lubang to see him and tell him he was released from his military duties.

In his battered old army uniform, Onoda handed over his sword, nearly 30 years after Japan surrendered..

THESE CONS ARE STILL WEARING THEIR "BATTERED OLD UNIFORMS".

All of the quotes listed above are substantially correct reproductions of words uttered by various Democratic leaders regarding Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein's acquisition or possession of weapons of mass destruction. However, as is typical of such lists, some of the quotes are truncated — and all of them are provided without context — so as to reinforce the author's point of view even when the proffered material does not fit it. Namely, several of these quotes were
offered in the course of statements that clearly indicated the speaker was decidedly against unilateral military intervention in Iraq by the U.S. Moreover, several of the quotes offered antedate the four nights of airstrikes unleashed against Iraq by U.S. and British forces during Operation Desert Fox in December 1998, after which Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen and Gen. Henry H. Shelton (chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) announced the action had been successful in "degrad[ing] Saddam Hussein's ability to deliver chemical, biological and nuclear weapons."

Like a typical conservative, you consider fake news sites as legit. As I said before, you are in dire need of some credible sources. There were ZERO active wmd programs found in Iraq. ZERO.
since when was the NT Times a fake news site? For the record Snopes is bogus.

http://accuracyinpolitics.blogspot.com/2013/05/snopes-got-snoped.html

You linked to an article by dcclothesline, a bogus news site. If you had actually read the NY Times article, you would have found exactly the same information I've been telling you all along, and I quote: "The United States had gone to war declaring it must destroy an active weapons of mass destruction program. Instead, American troops gradually found and ultimately suffered from the remnants of long-abandoned programs, built in close collaboration with the West."

And Snopes is a very highly regarded source for those attempting to actually discover the truth. And for that reason, that site will do you no good.

News flash: Extra has consumed so much liberal Kool- aid he has fallen down, can't get back up and doesn't even know it. Tell you what I am done with this back and forth, go ahead and rely on bogus news from Wikipedia and Snopes etc for all of your up to date sources. Funny how you dismiss any source that is conservative and automatically receive every liberal source no matter how biased they are. Have a good day and if you ever want to get off the wagon and see the light then turn off CNN, MSNBC and watch FOX or at least something that doesn't only tout the party line of the DNC.

I'd quit if I were you too. I've used highly regarded sources to show you that you're absolutely wrong. I even used the very article YOU provided to show you're wrong. Above that, I even provided a video of the president you voted for who admitted there were no active wmds in Iraq.

After the invasion of Iraq in 2003, the Bush administration formed the Iraq Survey Group and tasked it with the job of locating WMD stockpiles in Iraq. The ISG was staffed with hundreds of intelligence analysts and military personnel from the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. The group scoured Iraq, searching for deposits of weapons. Their conclusion:

"Saddam Hussein ended the nuclear program in 1991 following the Gulf war. ISG found no evidence to suggest concerted efforts to restart the program."

"While a small number of old, abandoned chemical munitions have been discovered, ISG judges that Iraq unilaterally destroyed its undeclared chemical weapons stockpile in 1991. There are no credible indications that Baghdad resumed production of chemical munitions thereafter."

"In practical terms, with the destruction of the Al Hakam facility, Iraq abandoned its ambition to obtain advanced BW [biological warfare] weapons quickly. ISG found no direct evidence that Iraq, after 1996, had plans for a new BW program or was conducting BW-specific work for military purposes."

You haven't proved nothing except you love to argue. SH did not comply with anything he was told to do after the invasion in 1991. He had WMD and had used them repeatedly on others. We know that some of our soldiers were harmed by them in the Iraq war. Of course you would believe that SH was an outstanding person .Both the Clinton administration plus the Bush administration followed intelligence that said he did posses WMD. They moved some of them into Syria and they did find WMD in Iraq and material that could be used to make more WMD. Like the UN, the ISG is a joke.. They(Clinton/Bush) did not lie. If you think piles of WMD whether they were ready to explode or not were safe in the hands of an evil man was okay then I don't know what to say.I am sure you think the Iranians only want nukes to create clean energy. They have repeatedly said they will use them to crush Israel and you can bet your last dollar on us if given a chance. You crack me up that you always believe every left wing version of every story. Pat yourself on the back buddy cause you live in a different world than me.Ending this discussion has nothing to do with admitting you are right and I am wrong. It has to do with I have better things to do than set here and go back and forth with you for the next 10-15 years since you obviously have nothing else better to do.

It's obvious that facts are irrelevant to you. You are content to exist is your make believe world. Fact check, Snopes, Bush, Colin Powell, ISG, and Condolezzi Rice are all mistaken and you know more than they do. Delusional.
