How has he looked thus far ? Where will he be playing ? Redshirt ? Thanks in advance. That kid is going to be a player for us and even better that he is from WV (point pleasant)

Idk what more information you are looking for other than he is working out with the team

All the team is doing right now is summer conditioning and informal workouts among themselves. We won't really know anything about the incoming freshmen until Fall camp gets underway and you get to see the players in pads and hear what the coaches are saying about them.

Coaches are now allowed to work the team out I think up to 5 hours a week over the summer and that doesn't include film sessions

I only chimed in because you were being rude to a guy who is excited about a player and just asking a simple question. Not everyone follows the ins and outs of college football practice schedules like we do, so I thought I would cover for you by giving a real answer. I didn't post to start a conversation with you.

This thread went off the rails pretty quickly.

Blame can be put on fever, as per usual.

Anywho, I'm excited about Mitchell as well. An instate recruit with a Rivals rating is someone to be excited for and happy he's on the team. I know he was listed as a TE, but does anyone else think he'll end up playing DB or maybe LB? I may have already missed that conversation, though.

Are these summer workouts under supervision of the S & C coach?

I think LB could be a realistic possibility with his size. I am not sure he has the top end speed to play DB. But it is hard to judge the speed of our in-state guys compared to the competition they play in WV. Not quite the speed seen in FL and GA recruits. But he looks extremely physical from what I have seen. I don't care what position we use him in as long as we get our best players on the field
