Applewhite promoted

Wow... I wonder what happened, it was on the ESPN crawl last night that Kiffin had been hired.

Back to possibly going to LSU as the OC , doubt it but then it's Kiffin we are talking about , much as Herdalicious noted. Have a hard time believing he would leave Bama for the same position unless he thinks he could elevate LSU to the heights of Bama and then make note of the fact he had accomplished the same feat at two SEC schools.

Who knows.

Football Scoop is reporting that ( no joke) Florida Atlantic is in the picture.

Lane Kiffin to Florida Atlantic? Report says it's possible, along with USF, LSU after Houston passes
The top target in LSU’s search for an offensive coordinator remains available, but Alabama's Lane Kiffin continues to flirt with lower-level head coaching jobs.

Kiffin was in talks with Florida Atlantic officials about their head coaching vacancy, according to Football Scoop.com and confirmed by The Associated Press on Friday. The initial report surfaced about eight hours after Houston passed on Kiffin for its head coaching job, instead promoting Baton Rouge native Major Applewhite, the Cougars' offensive coordinator.

Oh well all of the Herd Nation posters on here should be absolutely ecstatic that Bill Legg is staying at Marshall as the OC! Sure glad he decided to stay!

Wow unreal!

(AP) Tuscaloosa AL. - Crimson Tide to name Bill Legg as offensive coordinator.
Today in a surprise move Alabama's head football coach Nick Saban named former Marshall offensive coordinator Bill Legg to the same position on Alabama's staff. Said Saban, " we saw the juggernaut that Marshall football represented in 2016 and knew Legg was the best candidate to replace our former OC".

Kiffin, the former OC would not comment after being located at the Pink Pony dancers club in Boca Raton.

So FIU gets Butch Davis and FAU gets Kiffin. Seems like all of these teams are passing us by
