This explains why Birdsong locked into every pass and receiver he tried to complete a pass. This makes sense, he could not turn his neck or shoulder due to injury, thus only locking in at the the target everybody including my 7 year old daughter recognized.
What I saw from a true freshman QB who has has not played in over a season and a half is someone who worked on what the defense gave him, went through his reads and made good decisions. Regardless of the competition he did what a good QB is suppose to do. yes he did try to thread the needle a few times but in a game situation did a very good job.
What impressed my the most is how he managed the game and how he worked his reads. I saw a better command of the offense and in play adjustments with Litton than what I have seen with Birdsong so far.
If he got hurt at Ohio, why did the coaching staff not take him out when he got hurt?
