From everything we’ve heard it sounds like Rucker just wasn’t a good fit at MU.
Another rumor has it that he fully bought into the Iran Bennett "Easy Weight Loss Program"!
Always tough to lose a kid, but if he is going to leave I'd rather that happen now before he is in the rotation... Best of luck to him.
Thats what I was told. You might not think is accurate. What you might have been told could very well have been political spin. Similar to giving someone a chance to resign instead of being fired. I think if he just "opted out", he would have remained on the roster as would a walk-on. He is no longer showing up on the roster according to herdzone.com.
I will only say this: HerdinAtl : I am sure you want the best for Jahnsen (sp?). Let’s make it simple - go to Coach Dan & tell him you are broadcasting inside baseball on the internal info on his b-ball team before he or Hamrick can make it public. If he gives you that big smile & a thumbs up? Swing away. But if he gets pissed? Stay off this or any other social media until the AD announces it! You are playing a dangerous game.....

Thank you for your opinion and I respect your right to have yours. Of course I want the best for Jannson, that doesn't even need to be said. The information I shared wasn't top secret. The REASON he is no longer with the team IS. That information I chose not to disclose. My purpose for responding to Stowers was he said my post wasn't entirely accurate. My post was accurate. There is SO MUCH insider information that I hear on a daily basis now that workouts have started that I would love to pass along but am choosing not to. I will pass along when I feel it is appropriate to do so.

Like I said, I believe that is the end all result that we'll see, but for now, he will be permitted to return if he chooses to do so.
Just looked on Herdzone and he is in fact not on the roster, so something is going on....

All his post said, is that the kid is no longer with the program.
If Rucker truly is permitted to come back if he chose... we’ll you don’t “come back” to something you never left. Between that and his removal from the roster, I’m not really sure what is in dispute here ?

Just to clarify, I was just on Herd Zone looking for our 2020-21 BB schedule. However, only last season's schedule was up and ran through it. On the 2 game road swing to Texas, we lost to UTSA and won in El Paso. Later in the season we did beat the Roadrunners in Huntington in "Pod play", I believe.
It appears Rucker concluded that he would never be a contributor to the MU BB program. He has moved on. It was reported by some on this site when he was recruited that he was not a leaper and did not have the agility/quickness that is needed for Danny's style of play. Perhaps it can just be accepted that it was a bad fit and look toward filling the spot with a better fit.
All this begs the question the young man was “recruited” by the Marshall coaching staff so what did they fail to see?
qbu - just like a ton of coaches at the one-bid league level (that’s why they are one-bids)!
Doc not missed on Green as a QB but was award of this attitude problems several years ago and let him not only stay on the team but gave him the keys to the car. If they need to go then get them out early

I always thought the business model for rivals was to encourage good open conversation on the free board in hopes of getting those that participate at a high level to at some point sign-up for the paid site. This is good info and wondering why your not allowing this info and conversation develop so that it creates additional traffic on the site?
