Beal, Huskey and

Sometimes I think the team we've lost could beat the team we have.

When this is all going to really hit a boil is in September 2016, when we'll start talking about all the studs that were tossed from the program for undisclosed reasons by a guy who's no longer running it.

Herdalicious - I call bullshit on you! That is a ludicrous comment to make.
Here's another: In the fall of 2016, we will all be talking about how Bernie Sanders is leading Rand Paul in the race for the White House....

Yeah, how ridiculous of me to imply that, with Doc's name constantly coming up in every available coaching vacancy. The only reason he's still here is that the only offer he got last year was Pitt. Won't be the same case this January.

I do agree at some point he will get many more offers. You can only ignore winning for so long and that is at any level. There is a reason why we continue to win. Sure we play a soft schedule but we win it which means we are able to out recruit and out coach the other teams in our conference. I'm hoping Doc feels connected enough to stay here.

Yeah, and if Doc leaves, he has put us back on the map & all any of us (rational) fans should say is : "Good for you, Doc - we're proud & grateful for all of your efforts here @ MU". And then we go out & try to hire someone to keep us moving forward. It's not like Billy D. where he stayed 2 years & flew the coop. The MU HC position is a FAR more appealing hire than it was 6 seasons ago. I think Hammy will do whatever he can to keep him here, & I think he wants to stay. We will see........

Would love to see Raheim Huskey return, really liked his play and contributions. Maybe it is something that can be healed with effort and time; maybe he can earn his way back. Sure he didn't like not getting to play much after being so solid and such a contributor to our run last year.

Are you saying that I'm a general sense or that he truly received an offer from Pitt and turned it down to stay with Marshall?

Miami is probably too high profile of a position for doc. Right about now they are tired of losing and will probably want to see someone do so on a bigger stage than C-USA, but that's just my $0.02. I think the most realistic position Doc may jump on is Central Florida.

If Beal left for playing time he needs to grow some patience. The kid is a FR.

Wait until something actually happens before speculating that Doc will leave. Seems like he's much to old / one dimensional for bigger programs to be interested.. Plus he just signed a big extension??

Miami's looking for a huge name with "The U" ties... That's not Doc with the other names out there,

UCF's fanbase is ready to run the last major sports coach they hired from Marshall out of town. I think they are going to be looking for an offensive-minded coach. I could see them making a play for WKU's Brohm who fits the mold.

South Carolina is the one I'll be watching. I think they will go after Fuente, Herman, or possibly Holliday. Since I just don't think UCF or UM will look toward Holliday, I think South Carolina is the only one to worry about at this time,

Michigan State's coach is a USC Alum, wouldn't surprise me if they may a hard run at him.

Doc has no shot at USC.......Kirby Smart is at the top of the list. Doc isn't in their top 5 and barely in the top 10.

Dantonio supposedly is already a no.........

Houston leaving sucks. I think he would have been big next season. I haven't seen enough from Beal to really know. Huskey not leaving is definitely good. That kid was a monster at the end of last season.

just curious, but he couldn't get on the field this year (hell he didn't travel to a couple games) and was stuck behind several underclassmen, why do you think he would have been big next season?

Who knows what the heck happened with Houston, he played well at Linebacker when he played. Could have been one of those cases that don't recover well when losing their spot.

He's a really athletic dude. He seemed to make plays and was always near the ball. Not sure why he couldn't cut it. Oh well.

I try not to get excited about these big time recruits coming here. There is a reason some of these guys come here who were recruited by big schools. They usually have attitude issues or other problems that keep theme from reaching full potential.

Nut Cases will always remain Nut Cases...we're not a psyce ward for recovering Nut Cases.

Be responsible for YOUR own actions, develop yourself into being a better human being, or GET THE HELL OUTTA DODGE !!!

Butch Davis has said multiple times that he would go back the UMiami if asked. He would likely be their guy...if they want to ignore the NCAA infractions...but at tbis point, how much worse could it be?
I doubt ucf goes after Doc, since its not a real dream job nor is it much of a step up, and I don't think he would do that to us.
USC is likely going after someone like Fuente at Memphis...but the head coach of USC's shoes are not hard to fill...Spurrier's legacy include:
3 straight 11 win seasons and one time champion of the East...thats it.
