But I can start with a lack of a strong, well funded Public Schools system, Generational Poverty, The lack of Strong Educated Male role models, a corrupt local government who doesn't do shit unless it benefits the Miracle Mile or the Sports Teams, an underfunded, undertrained, and overworked Police Force, the tearing down of Public Housing which dispersed the violence all over the city. The pulling of funding for After School and Summer programs for the youth which used to be a staple in Cook County, the redistribution of funds from the poor areas of Cook County, to the rich areas over the last 30 years, the weak gun laws in surrounding states like Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, and Tennessee.
