Not everyone looks the same st 12% body fat. He is at 17 % now.I guess you are calling the Marshall training staff incompetent or liars. It is what it is. He has had an amazing transformation

I'm not an expert on weight or body fat. Don't know what IB's weight is, nor his body fat. Don't really care. If he is at 320 lbs. and 6'9" he's not far from being in fairly decent shape. I was 6'5" and 290 lbs. 1 year ago. Now I'm at 240 lbs. If I were at 290 lbs a year ago but 6'9" I would have considered myself in decent shape. Give Iran a break. He'll get there. And, by the way, I just broke my foot, too.Not everyone looks the same st 12% body fat. He is at 17 % now.
the difference is he is trying to play D1 hoopsI'm not an expert on weight or body fat. Don't know what IB's weight is, nor his body fat. Don't really care. and he is not 322 closer to 340I am not disagreeing but just stating the truth. He is 6 foot 9 weighs 322 pounds and has 17 % body fat. He has some big muscles
He told me at practice yesterday he was at 322. That is about 3 weeks at that level.and he is not 322 closer to 340
Anyone who is continuing to use this thread to take personal shots at one of our Marshall student athletes is imo callous, mean spirited and short sighted. These same “fans” will be heaping praise on IB should he get back on the court and play up to his potential. C’mon guys - we are better than this!

I think everyone wishes him the best and hopes he can be a contributor but at 330+ and injury prone he’s not helping the team. We’ve heard for almost 2 years about his potential at some point he’s going to have to contribute. Wow! After getting proper instruction from a physician about how to lose weight, Iran loses 58 lbs., in less than 8 months, and, according you, "seemingly lacks the motivation to get himself ready to play at Marshall." Not sure what he needs to do to impress you. I and many other fans are impressed!Again, look at who recruited (I guess looked at him) and passed but to his credit DD gave him an opportunity. It is up to IB to get into the shape we need him in to play DDs style. That then begs the question why get someone who cannot help the team?
Injuries can happen to any player and we have had many. The weight situation is another issue that IB has to deal with. In short IMO he’s a great young guy who has potential but seemingly lacks the motivation to get himself ready to play at Marshall.
Yes. He played in too many games for a medical redshirtDid he lose this year (eligibility wise)?
I sincerely hope that a child of yours will never have to read a comment like this about them. It is unfair and discouraging. I will do what coach is doing, encourage and help him to be the best he can be. D'Antoni sees potential benefits to our basketball program and until Iran leaves after 5 years, or simply drops out of school, will be supported and encouraged by fans that care about players representing our university.
That's the way I "understood" it.That means IB will have 3 years left, correct?
This is starting to sound a lot like this girl I met over at Kim's Palace in Oak Hill back in 1979. My friends laughed when they saw me take her outside to the Vega, and called her a heffer. To this day though, that girl still claims she's only big boned.
