Are your children immunocompromised or are you concerned they may contract COVID and pass it along to close family members? I am not trying to flame you, just curious as outdoor events are generally viewed as being safe. Obviously we could probably have an entire debate on Pullman Square on whether or not outdoor events are safe. Thanks @riflearm2
The kids love to watch the games with me; can't wait until we can get them vaccinated and start taking them to the games in person.
Well shit, I didn't touch that with a 10 foot pole and was proud of myself. Are your children immunocompromised or are you concerned they may contract COVID and pass it along to close family members? I see where you are coming from. I'm generally ok with taking my unvaccinated child to outdoor events but I'm more cautious about indoor events and activities where viral spread is easier. Are your children immunocompromised or are you concerned they may contract COVID and pass it along to close family members? My children are not immunocompromised, however I feel strongly about ensuring their safety to the best of my ability as a parent. I want to protect them and also want to protect my parents, my mother-in-law, and my remaining three grandparents who are in their upper 80's and 90's. My children spend a lot of time with our parents and grandparents and I want to keep them safe as well. I don't mind taking my children to outdoor events where we can have some space from others, but sitting immediately next to others who may not be willing to take the precautions we do is not something I'm keen on right now.Are your children immunocompromised or are you concerned they may contract COVID and pass it along to close family members? Do they go to school? You can still pass the disease with the vaccine. That is proven. The vaccine is to protect the vulnerable. Hopefully, the vaccine reduces symptoms. My children are not immunocompromised, however I feel strongly about ensuring their safety to the best of my ability as a parent. People can say whatever they'd like about the vaccines and the politicization of them, but my wife and I are the decision makers when it comes to our children and we trust the science.
My children are not school-aged yet, hence why I know that I can better control their exposure by knowing what environments they are in. I do understand that the disease can still be passed by those with the vaccine, however the CDC states that a fully vaccinated individual is at reduced risk to pass the disease to others.Do they go to school? I am not sure you are exactly following the science. Outside, they should be at very minimal risk. But, I do agree, you children and your choice.

It may not completely eliminate the risk but we will do all we can to limit the risk to our loved ones.
Clint!! He’s the MANI would like a Grouchy Smurf to select instead of the red-skinned emoji, and yes, that was a racial slur aimed at Native Americans.
I will say I stepped in there so none of the other moderators or corporate wouldn't **** it up.I don't like this thread; no, not one bit. It is full of logical, well thought out comments outlining a very loving stance taken by a parent(s) who is rightfully concerned for his/their loved ones. If this kind of thinking is allowed outside of this forum, there is a great danger that it will spread through out the land.......
