I agree herdman. This stuff is cyclical anyway. I didn't see a single illegal this weekend so obviously they don't exist. This is just this woman's way of maintaining funding to guarantee her job. The man upstairs will take care of it anyway, right?

Trump is asking for $5 billion for the wall that is real and immediate threat economically to our country.. $5 billion would be a drop in the bucket for "man made USA caused Global Warming" just so we could make some elites in Europe happy. The congress could shift $5 billion from elsewhere to help that problem. $5 billion for man made blame USA global warming would do nothing to keep the elites happy and would actually damage our economic interests and viability.

Mexico said they are not going to pay for the wall, but maybe they'd loan $5B to cheetos on a payment plan.
It's naïve to believe that a wall could be built for 5 billion dollars. The Department of Homeland Security puts the estimate at nearly 22 billion. There's so many factors not even considered in that estimate as well. This thing has the potential to spiral out of control faster than a Trump owned Atlantic City Casino project. Filing bankruptcy and sticking construction companies with the bill isn't an option this time around.
If that's the case, then why is cheeto vehement that he will shut down the government in a few days? If we have an easy way for Mexico to pay for the wall, why is he begging for $5 billion to build it instead of just having them take care of it? Doh!
You can make someone pay for it in other ways besides money. Mexico might have wished they did write us a check.

If he is truly "America first," he would use those same measures to increase money for us in those trade deals. So why is he waiting on the wall to do that? Why isn't he "America first" right now to start recouping those billions we could be raping them out of instead of waiting until after the wall is built?
This is the part where you claim to know a guy, talk about how great of a guy he is, then come back two weeks later and claim to not know him, never talked to him, and claim ignorance when something bad comes out about him.
No doubt we need money to build the wall. But, we can Mexico pay by freezing assets, taking money back from their people who send money home, take drug money from their corrupt politicians, and start taking out targets where they are running their corrupt government with. Frankly, we could topple their whole government without firing a shot if we wanted to. Take out a couple of their drug factories where the polticians are making money and they will be pissed. There is a whole list of nasty shit we can do if we want to.
What assets of theirs are we holding?

So out of everything you listed, only freezing assets and implementing a remittance tax would provide any money for the wall.
Freezing assets for people who have done nothing illegal is simply robbery. You're advocating stealing from a poor country. Tell us about your religious mother and your upbringing again.
Remittance tax . . . those who receive that money are the poorest of the poor. People who live off of their own tiny crops. The piddly money they receive from people in the U.S. allows them to eat a meal or rice instead of whatever small crop they are growing . . . once a month. These people aren't going out and buying Jordans from money earned in the U.S. Tell us again about your mother's strong religious beliefs and your upbringing. On top of that, you're advocating against a free market society.

I don't care if they get hit with a remittance tax. I get hit with taxes to teach English as a Second Language and to pay for them in schools, on our roads, and getting hit with higher bills because of the drain our health care. That's the way it is and I know Mexicans/Hondurans/etc and have hired them(all legal by the way). Pay your fair share and when you send money home if you get with a tax, I don't care.
And, we can blow up a few drug operations down in Central America where the greedy corrupt Mexicans and other locals down in Central America are getting their pockets greased. Again, IDGAF. They can start helping out with immigration on we can keep using C4 and let our CIA and special operations guys keep on using det cord.
