Border Patrol Chief

Sure thing. No one but you actually works on THEIR job.

Unsubstantiated^^^^
while i don't believe there's an article, study, or any two publications that agree on what exactly illegal immigrants cost federal and state governments, one thing is certain, every one of those i've seen have agreed that illegal immigrants cost "billions". while some believe it to be as low as several billion, some believe it to be as high as over $100 billion. either way, the common factor is "billions".

an exact number unsubstantiated? sure. "billions"? absolutely.

I'm talking about a net positive or negative, economically.

on some days, yes. however, in this instance, herdman offered a specific idea which you refuted as unsubstantiated. i added a bit of information that proves his assertion correct, and changed whatever you were arguing to something else.

herdman, as usual, is presenting only one side of the "cost". We all know he meant that illegal immigration is ONLY costing us money, with no intention of presenting the possibility that illegal immigration might be an economic net positive to the U S economy. His intent is therefore unsubstantiated.

Jesus. Didn't I go over this months ago on here? When/if that happens, a new way simply pops up.

There are already other ways to send money which can avoid all of the potential remittance payments.
Ok, doesn't mean we have to continue to make it easy. Good Lord.

So still trying to figure out how Mexico is already paying for that $5 billion wall addition?

Hell, I can get some Mexicans to put up 120 feet of drywall in two hours for lunch and a $10 Kroger gift card, and this buffoon wants $5 billion.

Because we can punish the shit out of Mexico and their politicians and drug Lords(where they get money) for not doing what we want.

By doing what exactly? Are we going to make it so that those "drug lords" don't send drugs to the U.S.?

You want to "punish" politicians of one of the U.S. three biggest trade PARTNERS and damage that relationship? Great, that will just allow China to get a firmer grasp on our testicles.

I already asked this: cheeto has repeatedly said "America first." So if we can improve the U.S. by doing the things you have said, why hasn't he done them already? This wall thing isn't new. The refusal by Mexico to pay for it is nothing new. Why hasn't he put America first and done these things you suggest already regardless of any wall situation?
