With his 85 yards against EKU on Saturday Knox eclipsed the 2,000 career rushing mark. His 2,050 yards move him past Keion Davis(2,014 yds) for 15th on the All-Time career list at Marshall.
Knox's current yards per game average is 75.9. If he maintains his average of at least 75.9 yards per game that will give 607 yards on the season and 2,657 yards for his career which would move him to 10th All-time at Marshall. If we play in at least a bowl game then 2,733 which would move him into 8th place All-Time. If we also play in a conference championship game and he rushes for at least his average of 75.9 he would end up with 2,809 yards for his career leaving him in 48 yards shy of passing Darius Marshall(2,857 yds) for 7th place.
THAT IS JUST AFTER HIS JUNIOR SEASON!
After next season where one would assume we played a full slate of 12 games, he could potentially add 911 more yards to his total giving him 3,720 career yards pushing him into 5th place All-Time. Given his average of 75.9 if we make a bowl game then he would end with 3,728 career yards and if we played in the conference championship game he would end his career with 3,803 career yards. Still leaving him short of surpassing Jackie Hunt for 4th All-time.
HOWEVER.
If I am understanding all this craziness of 2019 Knox could still have yet another year if he so chooses to stay. That means if he returned for the 2022 season he could add yet another 911 yards. That would give him 4,714 career yards moving him into 2nd All-Time. Crazy thing that still is 1,209 yards short of Chris Parker's first place total of 5,924 career yards. That's just nuts! Even with a whole extra year than Parker he couldn't eclipse him. Parker was a beast.
Granted this is based on his average so it's give or take. If he could hit 100 yards regularly that would help boost his numbers.
