We paid for and built their entire infrastructure, rebuilt and funded their government and elections, gave them free training and rearmed the entire country (three times, but that's another story), provided security for their elected officials...All while growing Iraq's GDP over 300%. People made a killing in international investments during that time. So there's an argument to be made. Nice try at deflection though.
