But, Cato will wear the No. 31 jersey to honor injured Marshall junior linebacker Evan McKelvey who suffered an ACL injury early in the season. McKelvey's number was worn by several defensive players in games, but Cato is the first to don it on offense.
"We want Evan to know that we're behind him for the whole season and support him, no matter what," Cato said Saturday. "The defense has done a great job of wearing it all year. I just thought it was the perfect time for me to wear it."
