Yesterday afternoon Woody Williams visited the Museum, and it was an honor. Hershel "Woody" Williams, USMCR, is the last surviving recipient of the Medal of Honor from the Battle of Iwo Jima. Mr. WIlliams's actions in that battle were truly heroic. We salute you, sir, and thank you for your service.
