Please allow me to retort since most of you all are always wrong and I'm always correct! Ha!

First off , did we win 10 games with a Freshman QB? 10! Damn people quit bitching!!!!
Legg will open it up next year, the OLine will be in sync as will the FRESHMAN running backs and the FRESHMAN QB!
He's not my first choice either but he was accepted into med school at the other D1 school in the state so he can't be a complete idiot.
Remember NCAA passing records set by our last QB? Who was calling the plays then? It might just be a seasoned coach trying to bring young players along at the pace they need?

You guys don't get it. Legg and Doc are close friends. Doc does not care what any of us post on here - especially when we are ripping a buddy. Not gonna happen.
Gotcha beat. Been watching sine 1964. This team lacked deep speed, struggled with consistent play up front, lost stud RB and started a fresh QB.
Yeah Legg and Doc played it close to the vest and it worked. This team was going to win on defense and special teams. Not creative offensive play calling.
I'm more concerned about a lack of playmakers on offense than I am the offensive coordinator.
I'll call and raise you a Herb Royer. A decent coach who toiled at Marshall with no money and little hope, Herb was one of the most decent men I've ever known.

It's not bitching to offer criticism. I'm very proud of this team, but the play calling in my opinion and I'm allowed to have one was less than stellar. It was as if they were coaching not to lose as opposed to coaching to win.
Interestingly, Rick Neuheisel discussed the touchdown pass caught by Yuracheck. He noted it was a brilliantly designed play that really fooled the Mike linebacker.
My point is that Bill Legg is a highly respected coordinator who likely receives higher marks for the job he does from real football experts than he receives from the so called self proclaimed experts on this board.

So highly respected, no one has come after him and offered him a big time job............
Curious how you know that as fact. Look, like Doc, Bill is home. Last time I spoke with him (and that was last year) he indicated that he could leave for more money and for a bigger program but he's happy to be so close to the area where he grew up. Just sayin.
I have several comments to this thread and its not just intended for the quoted post but all giving Bill Legg crap.
1. Its sad, but true, college football is no longer about winning games but entertaining a fan base. I understand when tickets prices and the cost to attend games increased that expectations also went up and part of that is fans just flat out want to be entertained. Its no longer about winning. This is sad! It was just two or three years ago that several big time head coaches and OC's were in Huntington asking our coaches for advice.
2. The offense is NOT Bill Leggs offense but its Doc Holliday's. Bill does what Doc wants him to do, so if you want a change then your asking for Doc to get booted.
3. If someone told you before the season that your best olineman, Johnson goes down, and you end up starting a true freshman at QB would you have been happy with 10 wins and a bowl victory. The answer is yes!
4. We have won 33 games in the last three season with most of the team back for next year. Wow!
