Considering the poor SOS of CUSA overall , being picked to finish second in the division , this is pretty damned generous.

Typical.....all P5, with the exception of Boise. The only thing this means is the Top 4 teams can lose one game and still play in the playoffs. Pre-season polls are garbage.

guys been a long time since we had votes in the pre season poll. The team goes out and handles their business and are 4-0 with significant wins blow outs with Norfolk and kent state, solid wins with purdue and Ohio. Then a couple teams with unexpected losses or bad games, top 25. moist of he voters remember us from past years. Building on the performance from last year and showing continued performance with new focused positions will bode well I would think. With votes in the pre season poll and solid performances should be in top 25 in 5 weeks on the outside. 1 misstep and back out though.

just for humor sake, I had to read this and fix a bunch of stuff due to my tpying to appease the grammer police. LOL

I don't see us in the top 25 after 4 weeks no matter what, but it's where you finish.

How is Tennessee #25 and Miss State unranked?

because tenn finished the season relatively strong, played alabama kind of tough and a one possession loss to east champ mizzou, with 4 wins in their last 6, they also return 18 starters and butch had the #7 and #4 (247 composite) recruiting classes nationally the last two years.

miss state lost 3 of their last 4, they return only 9 starters (good for 121st in the nation) and the west is arguably a lot tougher than the east

We were receiving votes in the pre-season last year too.

Just keep on winning baby, people have to take notice.
