What is going to happen if say Notre Dame is #2 and Clemson #3 just before the ACC championship game and one of the teams has a rona outbreak? If I’m one of the teams or even the ACC itself....I’m gaming the system and they are both getting in. This year, they truly should have expanded the playoffs. Iowa State can run the table and make a NY6 bowl and have a home loss to the Sun Belt runners up, while potentially the undefeated Sun Belt Champ is playing an undefeated Marshall team in say the Myrtle Beach Bowl.

The committee can do whatever it wants. Just because ND and Clemson would be in the top 4 going into the final week doesn't mean they'd be guaranteed a spot just because neither lost.

The P5 will not split their money with G5 other than the contract they have with them for 1 team to get a minimum NY6 spot.
