We beat them and they nabbed some of our players. I hate how we couldn't capitalize on our Notre Dame win with an elevated level of recruiting.
It is a lot of free advertising though. That play was the main highlight of the game and it's being replayed a lot all night and this morning.

Not sure what the advertising would be saying: “Play for Marshall for a season then you too can hit the transfer portal for more money and a bigger stage.”
Hey. If we get the services of a great recruit for one year, ship them out and ship the next one in. I feel the same way about coaches too.
It does make for a box of chocolate program. You never know what you are going to get. But player/coach stability usually leads to a stronger program.

You can't control college football today. It is out of control and I'm not sure it can recover.
I certainly agree with you. I frequently gave a small amount to the athletic department and was a Big Green member for years, but since this NIL nonsense, I have stopped any sports donations and only give to the academic segment of the University. After all, isn’t education what it is all supposed to be about?
