First, full disclosure, I’m a WVU grad…
Anyway, congrats on the Tony Gibson hire. He is a great recruiter and a players coach. You should see a boost in recruiting and from transfers with Gibby.
Further congrats on the conference championship.
Also, sorry to hear about Randy Moss’s health issues. Minus his health issues, even at his age, he was so talented I think he could suit up next season and still produce 75 catches, 1100 yards and 10 touchdowns for an NFL team. Most athletic individual I have ever seen.
Which brings me to a point… I’m not sure of the name of it, the official name of the Marshall Athletics boosters club, but I think it would be awesome if they started an annual trophy ala the Heisman, only for the best G5 conference player in the country. Louisville’s folks created the Paul Hornung award (which Tavon Austin won one year). Randy was a Heisman finalist and Biletnikoff (don’t know if I spelled that right) winner, I believe.
Just something fun to think about, the “Moss Award presented by the Marshall University Athletic Club.”
Congrats again and good luck in your bowl.
