This morning, a C-USA official called Doc stating they had reviewed the play and ruled that it was a legal hit. With that, Reavis' suspension would be overturned and he would be eligible to play in the first half against NC State.
Shortly after, Doc called CJ to let him know the situation. That's why Reavis tweeted out, "They reinstated me."
Fast forward about two hours later and another C-USA official called Doc back stating they made a mistake and Reavis' suspension would be upheld. Reason is, the review booth made the call and not the officials on the field. Apparently the review booth falls under the NCAA umbrella and C-USA has no standing in the decision.
