Daily Mail running with Daily Beast story

The Daily Beast isn't exactly the most credible place to get facts from.. But never the less when sites are running stories like this and then the local media parrots those stories it isn't good for the school that's for sure
Nothing will come of the Marshall involvement. The chief said right there that Sperry had not told him anything. Why would this Sperry guy have gone and told some crap reporter something and the chief not even know about it? It's no wonder they can't solve anything in this town. No professionalism. Makes no sense. This Sperry guy sounds flaky for even commenting the way he supposedly did in that article.
I wouldn't be surprised if Sperry didn't say half the things this article says he did.. They are essentially a tabloid.. And obviously nothing legal will come of it but in the court of public perception stuff like this and then it being rehashed by local media outlets will hit the school's image for sure.
The story was updated after our interim President released a statement.. When I initially posted the link the quotes from the chief, and from University officials weren't included.. The Daily Mail article was originally just quoting the Daily Beast article.. So at that time they were indeed "running with" it
Hey, its a Charleston rag, their job is to make Marshall and Huntington look bad. This doesn't shock me that they picked it up without speaking with Hamrick, White or MUPD before publishing the story.
