#Iran-backed Houthi rebels have claimed to have shot down an #American MQ-9 Reaper drone off the coast of #Yemen today, however, no evidence has been provided at this time. The Pentagon has denied the claims.

A Houthi spokesman claimed that the drone was downed “while it was carrying out hostile, monitoring and spying activities in the airspace of Yemeni territorial waters and within the framework of American military support for the Israeli entity.”

“Hostile movements will not deter the Yemeni armed forces from continuing to carry out military operations against the Israeli entity in support of the oppression of the Palestinian people,” the spokesman added.

In 2019, an MQ-9 Reaper was downed by a Houthi SA-6 surface-to-air missile over Yemen.

If this is confirmed, it would mark a major escalation between the US and the Houthis, who have vowed to continuously strike Israel. Last month, the US Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Carney intercepted several Houthi missiles and drones over the Red Sea that were heading towards #Israel. #AtlasNewsUpdateYemen

Unnamed defense officials have confirmed to Fox News Chief National Security Correspondent Jennifer Griffin that a #UnitedStates MQ-9 Reaper drone was shot down by a Houthi SA-6 SAM “while in international airspace over international waters off the coast of Yemen” earlier today, adding that “U.S. Central Command officials are assessing the incident.”

Earlier today, #Iran-backed Houthi rebels announced that they shot down an #American MQ-9 Reaper drone off the coast of Yemen, later releasing footage purportedly showing the downing.

The #UnitedStates military has still not officially commented on the incident.

Edit: “there is no Palestine” is one of the more asinine, ridiculous statements someone can make. There is a Palestine. There is a government that calls itself Palestine that has controlled, governed and administered an area it calls Palestine for closing in on 30 years. There’s no historical situation where we would look at that and say “nope doesn’t exist.” It’s absurd.

Palestine lacks international recognition from many countries, yes. That’s a piece of paper. And it has international recognition from far more countries than it doesn’t.

To make another historical case, when did the United States of America begin to exist?

Arabs, Palestinians, Muslims can also be in the Israeli Defense Forces. They can serve in Israeli govt. They can work and live in Israel.

There is no apartheid. That is a myth and propaganda.

The leaders of Hamas are wealthy. Gaza could be a thriving area with international trade and ports. There main export is terrorism. Their own leaders keep it down.

Why? Get this through your head. They want to destroy Israel and Jews. Their own leaders keep the Palestinians down. Israel would rather have peace amd trade partners. The other side wants to exterminate Jews and Israel. Oh and the United States.

Understand? In Gaza, They would beat you. Kill you. Cut you head off and hang you from a light pole. In Israel they would welcome you.

Go ahead and answer the question “Does Taiwan exist?”

We can have all sorts of conversations about what should or could be done about Palestine, but those questions aren’t even answerable if you refuse to recognize the existence of the place.

Can you tell me the logic that dictates that Taiwan, which is recognized by a total of 12 countries, the largest of which is probably Paraguay, exists, while Palestine, which is recognized by 139 counties, does not?

Not “shouldn’t.” “Doesn’t.”
 
Palestine, last I knew, was considered a state, a region controlled by the P.L.O., but now is run by Iranian proxies.

I sure am not.

I think the most accurate description is that there are currently two Palestinian states, Gaza and West Bank. Both want the other and are administered separately. West Bank would probably love to see Israel wiped off the map but has done better at playing nice. Gaza hasn’t.
