Some of his "decisions" have been mindblowing. It's like he's trying to throw the game. That last sack was unexplainable.

I swear, some of the things hes done tonight - im not convinced he didnt take a dive.

Last MU qb to bet against the Herd was Danny Wright during, I think, Elwood's tenure.

3 of those second half sacks were incomprehensible. I really dont understand what he was seeing or doing.

I think it's silly to believe he's taking a dive (you might be making a sarcastic comment...and obviously it's tough to tell on here lol), but the game is moving too fast for him right now. North Texas came out and looked like Dick Lebeau's Pittsburgh Steelers defense when they were winning Super Bowls with their multiple looks and how confused our line and QB were. It doesn't help that Chase zeroes in on his target either. He's been doing that all season. Also, time to move on from Legg, like, five years ago.

come on.......really?

34-21 loss to SMU
32-0 loss to Florida
30-13 loss to MTSU

gave up 20 to 0-4 Bethune-Cookman in a win
gave up 35 to 0-4 Rice in a win

their defense is terrible... our offense is something way worse than that.......

Yes. Really. I don't care what they did against those other teams. Tonight they confused our line and that led to horrible decisions. Thirteen rushing yards? That's garbage. They handed us an L because they were the superior team. I never said they were like that every game. I said they looked like that tonight.

Its hard to know how good or bad Litton really is. He is getting smacked around by the defense every other play because the O line has more holes than swiss cheese and he has absolutely no running game to help him out.

I'm so disgusted that I can't sleep, so I might as well add my two cent's worth. Sooner or later, every football program reaches a plateau. We're there! Kinda reminds one of Don Nehlen's waning years...

It's 3 a.m.here in Kenova and our boys are back. I just heard their jet hit reverse thrust at Tri-State Airport. At least they've landed safely.

This team is an enigma. Every year, I have faithfully went to the national signing day party. Walking out of the one this February, I remember thinking how much better the talent was than when Doc first got here. Obviously, we are in a serious retooling year.

One and four will be hard to overcome. Even if we do make a miraculous recovery and go to a bowl, it will now be a minor one against a lower Sun Belt or MAC team and I've already made up my mind to stay home this time

We have the nicest Indoor Practice Facility -- particularly when considering a school at at this level -- in the country. I proudly show it off to visitors from out of town; the Louisville people couldn't believe it! It's only been completed a year, but it should be of great benefit for future recruiting that must play toe-to-toe with the great schedules that Mike H has put together.

I like Doc, and I think he has able assistants and coordinators. But they all are too conservative -- you play to win! Either their system is too complex or our kids are not very smart. Probably a combination of both...maybe they'll absorb it in time. And if I ever see another Bill Legg bubble screen called, it will be too soon for me.

We were told that this year would be something special: Best O-line ever; improved talent in the linebackers; strength & conditioning gains by leaps & bounds, etc., etc. So far, we certainly haven't seen it.

No enthusiasm or chemistry whatsoever. If you were at Pitt in person, you could see from the opening kickoff that our kids were still asleep on the bus.

Dating back to Travon Van and the kid who fumbled away the WVU game at the goal line (he should never have been put in that situation), there has been, with few exceptions, constant turmoil in the backfield. Devon Johnson was the only bright spot and he only played that position two years. Pittman is a captain one game, doesn't see a play the next. Hyleck Foster -- billed as the next Tommy Shuler -- is not utilized in the slot underneath. Let's hope that Davis and Anderson will show some consistency in time.

The secondary -- another great projection -- has been deplorable. Through five games, they have minimal interceptions. Poor ole No. 3 couldn't cover my grandmother. And she passed away in 1960. Play the ball, son! You can't tell me he can step in for a departed Tyquan Lang.

Now, I'm for Doc's discipline -- you've got to have it. You can't condone criminal behavior and it is necessary to mold leaders and develop fine young men. But you can't run off two four-stars in the defensive backfield, a four-star wide receiver and numerous others and expect to remain competitive. Everything -- injuries, whatever -- is camouflagued in a veil of secrecy.

And I don't blame Doc for being thin at quarterback. The two that bolted wanted to play, and you can't fault him or them for that. I even see where Cole Garvin stepped in and had a great game. Shame on those of you who criticized young Garet Morrell, who was thrown into an impossible situation against the then No. 3 team in the country.

But Litton has turned into a head case. He looks and acts like him on the surface, but a Jim McMahon he's not. Very disappointed in his generalship: maybe he should go back to wearing #14. I know he helped bring in Clark, but he needs to look to the other receivers as well. And where's the slants across the middle? We are very easy to scout.

In the game last night, I constantly saw him being coached up on the sidelines by Mirabel. I thought he was the offensive line coach? Yes, it's time we invested in a quarterback specialist. Are you listening Chad Pennington? That might just be the shot in the arm the program needs!

Tim, that's a fine post, but did you have to copy it in to 3 different threads? Makes you seem Littonish.

Hopefully Mirabal was telling him to grow some balls and not just flop to the ground any time there is the least bit of pressure. Let's maybe try to evade a tackle or shake off a defender at least once a year...heck, just throw the ball out of bounds instead of giving up a big sack on a literal flop to the ground.

Litton is not the future. I say put Gaines in and add a running deminsion to our offense. He may not be the best passer but Litton sure as hell ain't tearing it up.
At least Gaines can add some mobility and athleticism to the position.

it's hard to gauge Litton when he has 2 seconds from snap until he is seeing stars. Not impressed though. With the line play, might be healthier to put the most mobile guy back there.

That hit in the Akron game did not give him a concussion. I think we will hear in the future why he is acting like this. You heard it here first. Go Herd!

Quarterbacks have to be good and smart; able to make judgments with multiple possible solutions.

In all honesty, if you were going to accuse Litton of working for Vegas, last week would've been the time to do it - with the clock ticking to zeros and us backed up inside our own ten, no way to win the game, we ran one more play, which Litton threw to the boundary for some reason, right to a Pitt DB who returned it for a TD, allowing Pitt to cover and costing some folks with poor judgement (gamblers) money.

Come on, you gotta spill it now. We have all heard rumors many of his teammates don't care for his attitude. Is there more?

Sorry, Rock Dog. I've been quiet up until now. Just had to get it out of my system. Probably won't say much the rest of the season. At this low point, it probably wouldn't make a difference anyway.

I just wanted to try and get Littonish out there as an adjective.

The bigger issue here is Doc handed him the starting job and the other guy transferred out. The lack of depth is the problem. I think Litton is hurt and gun shy from taking a hit right now

Do you guys really think Litton threw the game??

I've been known to harp on players (and I regret each time) but accuse him of cheating???

Come on. I'm disgusted as a heard fan and son of Marshall to accuse our brothers of that.

Litton did not throw the game. Throwing a game and not being obvious about it to the WWF level takes skill.

The simplest solution is usually right. He just is not that good.

We have seen a change in how QBs work in college. Just in the last few years. Coaches (unless you are Urban "fake a heart attack and move to an easier conference" Meyer) get a couple or three or four and run a competition. Winner stays and everybody else moves elsewhere. At MU we can be givers or receivers. We have been givers. Should not be. We should be out there looking for guys the big boys run off who have a year or two left.

IMHO, our QB this year should have been Patrick Towles. UK pretty much ran him off. He ended up at hapless Boston College. Ft. Mitchell, KY kid would have had a fine year here and then next year we get another guy with a year or two left.

To be clear, i dont actually think litton "threw" the game. It was merely hyperbole meant to highlight his terrible decision-making this past game. Im still not convinced hes over the concussion. Seems to be processing things much slower ever since that hit in the Akron game.
