I swear these ESPN announcers are going to spend the entire game making excuses for Illinois and blaming the officiating. It is beyond nauseating at this point.
That hold occurred about the same time as the interception 5 yards away. The receiver had no play on that ball. I thought it was a good "no call"Originally posted by riflearm2:
I understand having a C-USA bias and wanting them romain, but come on.
Have you not seen some very awful missed calls that have hurt Illinois. One should have given Illinois a first down in tech's territory. Instead, that play resulted in a tech TD. That is anywhere from a 7-14 point swing.
Besides the last 30 seconds of the half, the penalty count was 8-0. Fine if it worked out like that with a well-called game, but some of these missed calls are mind-boggling.

SMU is looking pretty good in this game.
I thought the the same thing. Must have had a special on those to close out the season.
I was thinking old school Patriots. I like the look.Originally posted by riflearm2:

I was waiting for Steve Grogan, Harold Jackson, Russ Francis, and Stanley Morgan to take the field on offense.Originally posted by Herd4ever07:
