I like to think of myself as moderate when it comes to politics; not so with my neighbors. The poorest and least educated guy on the street is an ardent Harris supporter and I kid him relentlessly about it. I told him yesterday that Harris had said her priority on day one after she is elected is to confiscate all gasoline lawn mowers. My neighbor has a yard full of them in various stages of repair.
I am always very serious when I tell him these falsehoods and this time he asked me where I heard this news. I made up an over the air broadcast source.
My neighbor doesn’t have cable but has instead purchased one of those Informercial antennas that pick up the old analog channels. After I told him I got my news about the lawn mowers from a channel he doesn’t receive, I saw him up on his roof moving around his antenna. I assume he was trying to find the nonexistent channel.
