I dunno, up 17 with the ball on their 20, I might think Holliday Ball coulda got you a better result.
No way dude. Holliday wouldn't have ever let the lead get up that far before trying to sit on it the rest of the game.
Setting on the ball just a little in the 4th would have helped a LOT
I think part of the problem was the defense ended up gassed in the 4th. Marshall had 5 sacks through the first 3 quarters but none in the 4th
the play call on 4 and 2 early in 4 th qtr was a terrible decision. Didn’t have a problem going for it…but throwing to end zone (low % pass) was greedy and bit us in the ass
ECU went to a 2 step drop pass in 4 th qtr and our secondary never made an adjustment in their coverage to break up the rhythm and timing of the receivers.
our kick off return team looked like they were sleeping on the onside kick. Everyone in the stadium knew it was coming (except the return team)
I think Wells can be special…but his decision making and over throws at times is puzzling.

Were they gassed? For sure. However that same short pass was open all night and any time their QB was used in a gimmick he was completely untouched.
We hired the worst STC in the country over the last 3 seasons. This is what we're going to get.
