Donations to the NRA tripled after the Parkland shooting

No one is using these kids. These kids are speaking up, exercising the 1st amendment rights, not vitriol. You really are a piece of work. When someone says something you disagree with, it's vitriol. When it comes the the 2nd amendment, you are all for it, but when it comes to the first amendment, someone should shut these kids up.

"guns are being threatened"? Really? WTF? They made their expectations clear; raise the age to 21, ban bump stocks, stricter background checks, elimination of gun show loopholes, and an assault weapons ban. They haven't changed their message and they haven't let a few death threats scare them away. November will be very interesting.
you should probably just stfu to avoid embarrassing yourself.

It’s sad that after 14 kids are gunned down the NRA and gun owners immediately move to “don’t take our guns” instead of how do we ensure this doesn’t happen ever again. It’s certainly a morality issue more than a difference of opinion.

No… What’s sad is that when 14 kids are gunned down, instead of blaming the person who shot them, people who have political interests blame a completely unrelated organization.

Don’t disagree, but to simply say that the person involved in the shooting wasn’t aided by loopholes in the 2nd Amendment is wrong as well.

you should probably do a bit of research about this guy and how he was able to have any damn gun in the first place. there's no loop hole in the document, there is a bunch of fruit loops in florida, though.

i know, i know, let's repeal the 2nd amendment, that'll teach these incompetent motherfvckers to do their job right!

What’s the harm in outlawing bump stocks, raising the age limit to 21, more restrictive background checks if it means a situation like this is avoided? Will it stop them entirely? Doubtful, but if it makes more difficult to happen again isn’t it worth it? And why are the NRA and pro gun advocates so defiant when proposed?

So your solution is to do what? Absolutely nothing?

another asinine statement. no response deserved, really. but, seriously, do you really not understand the premise behind see through backpacks?

INTEGRITY AND REPUBLICAN - TWO WORDS THAT SHOULD NEVER BE USED IN THE SAME SENTENCE. ON THE OTHER HAND PATHETIC AND IGNORANCE SHOULD ALWAYS BE USED TO DESCRIBE CONSERVATIVE PAWNS.

What loopholes? The 2nd Amendment clearly says that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. It’s written specifically (and on purpose) so nobody can mess with it.

Really? Then why do some states have less restrictive policies than others?

for the 2nd time, they're afraid the left is going to try and take take take if they give any. i think the right should compromise, just stating the obvious. and, the right does have a point? every time something doesn't go the left's way, they kick, cry, and scream like babies (see election 2016 and proceeding year to date activity).

So you what do nothing?

nah, actually, i'm for compromise. i think there should be a ban on certain things like the bump stocks. no need for them other than having fun. a small sacrifice of fun to possibly save a life? sure. however, the right has a point on these . . .what's next, rubber bands? you ever see what can be done with an AR15 and a simple rubber band?

i'm not for banning AR's just because they look scary when there are .223's that aren't considered what the left ridiculously refers to as "assault weapons" that have the same capabilities, they just don't look as "scary".

i'm definitely for making it more difficult for criminals to get any type of firearm. let's try following the laws we have in place. stiffer penalties on dealers on break these laws. better background check systems. i couldn't care less if there was up to a 10/20/30 day waiting period for purchasing a firearm IF that would assist in doing an extensive background check on the buyer.

i'm certain there are other things that can be done, but an outright ban on any type of firearm just because they look scary is ludicrous, especially when idiot libs (those who aren't after an all out ban) are just fine when the same damn caliber set up the same damn way looks like a hunting rifle vs having the appearance of an "assault weapon".

how dense are you? did you not read the post? i specifically indicated "i think the right should compromise". got damn, you're like talking to a retard.

see my post above, knuckle dragger.

I’m ok with this logic

*NewsFlash*

Criminals dont follow laws.
i agree wholeheartedly, fever. however, we have to throw a bone to the lefties to satisfy them. there's not a damn thing they're going to do to solve the issue at hand.

see, society is so far gone off the deep end and it's only going to get worse. and, at some point, the lefties will win because of this. they will get what they want, but it will come in the form a war with blood shed like america has never before seen on it's soil. it's not going to happen anytime soon, but i honestly believe that at some point down the road, that's what our kids, maybe grandkids, will see.

what's caused this? i believe wholeheartedly a combination of the following in no specific order:
  • fatherless children / single parenting
  • alcohol/drugs and conception resulting in mentally challenged children
  • government overstepping its boundaries in parenting
i'm sure there's other issues that's caused this shit, but one thing damn sure isn't a cause: the invention of a specific firearm that's been around for 60+ years.

Eh, not enough real men in America to fight a war like the Civil War.

Most of these new generations America will run and cry to Starbucks and drive off in their Prius before they go and fight for anything.

And I dont agree with the Fatherless Child preference. Most of the softies I come across today come from 2 parent homes.

it's not about being a softie, dumbass. it's about having some sort of moral compass. sorry i stepped on your toes, but statistics don't lie. single parented kids are much more likely to end up a fukt up pos than a kid raised in a traditional home.

Wow! You say some the stupidest shit. Impressive.

wow! you provide some of the most well thought out replies. impressive.

seriously, do you not see how pathetic your random drive by "you suck" posts are? let me guess . . . single parent raised and, your father, whom you've never met but do know him by his CB handle, was high on meth when you were conceived. explains quite a bit.

Thats a generalized Stereotype and that is not fair at all.

who gives a fvck about being fair in this conversation. it's not about making sure people's feelings aren't hurt. it is what it is and it's the damn truth.

Nobody feelings are hurt. But its not the truth at all

I dont need articles to prove you wrong.

Ive lived the life in a single parent home and know many successful people personally that has.

Also I am pretty sure you never heard of the White Supremacist Street Gang PEN1. They are a pretty big deal in California especially in Orange and LA counties. The specifically recruit rich white kids from 2 parent homes who feel they are outcasts or have absent parents who work all the time.
