Dtard/ExtraGreed

It would be a good time to invest in some solar panels . . . oh, wait. Your president just put a 30%+ tariff on the leading supplier of those, so it wouldn't be worth buying them.

That article was written by a managing editor of a newspaper who doesn't know the difference between "here" and "hear." At best, he is an editor who doesn't edit his own columns . . . and one wonders why newspapers are dying when they employ managing editors like that.

So weird, turns out even Al Gore agrees with Trump and states, "(But) I will say in this case it really did not start with him. This was a trade action brought by private companies. They chose a kind of midpoint in the range of alternatives ... It could have been handled differently, should have been handled differently but it's not an utter catastrophe," he added.

THANK YOU - I'M GLAD SOMEONE IS PAYING ATTENTION.

No, I told you they could as much as triple, but they were definately going to spike at a much larger rate than normal when it all shakes out, which it is now.

You said electricity prices would triple within 3 years 5 years ago. Mine has done neither. I laughed at you then, and laugh at you now.

ever notice how intent these kooks are at rewriting history.

How could I not?
I am looking to get some solar panels. Where in the tri-state can you get a deal on them. I have heard alot of people with 8 and 9 hundred dollar electric bills. Mine last month was 275.00 so I cant complain.

These two things do not make sense:

However, that doesn’t do a thing for anyone if AEP magically increases rates. The WV Public Service Commission approved a 11.8 percent increase back in 2015. AEP went back to the PSC and asked for an 8 percent increase the next year but were again approved another 3 percent hike. Now, people in 2018 are being forced to make life decisions. - Wayne County News

Moye said AEP approved a rate increase in 2016, raising the rate from 9.5 cents per kWh to around 12 cents per kWh. - The Register Herald (2.5 cents per kWh increase from 9.5 cents per kWh = 26%)

Just thought I would leave this here for you two commies:

I TOLD YOU SO ....many years ago!

I think some of the people are accusing AEP of improper meter readings/falsifying meter readings and/or falsifying usage. I know of people getting monthly bills of $300 one month and $600 the next month when the temperatures were not drastically different from one month to the next, as in last September-October and October-November.

This is special. Dherd doesn't even believe ALGORE, when an uninformed libby false premise is blown to bits.

Michael Hupp (the writer) needs to talk to XGREED for some information. We've been told here for years that increased regulation, increased costs and penalties to businesses is good for the average guy. It increases wealth and prosperity for all. Come on Michael. Get with the program! You have a biz genius out Wayne who can explain all this for you!!

Total bullshit if you believe it. AEP just posted their second highest profit ever. Other electric companies are hitting record profit. You believe your bill has risen for any reason other that profit and investor dividends is total bullshit. But you fvckers fall for it. Trump should be bringing your electric bills down. Fvcking trumptards are just plane ignorant.

Are you a complete fvcking imbecile?

How can you conclude that Gore agrees with cheeto basedckn your link?

Gore stated that it could have been handled differently and should have been handled differently. He goes on to then say that it isn’t an utter catastrophe. Do you know what that means?

If I’m anally penetrating a girl, and I have poop-dick when I pull out, it’s pretty bad. Now, my sheets and my crank have poop on them. That really sucks, but both things can be washed, so it isn’t an utter catastrophe.

Does that mean that I’m cool with getting poop-dick? Of course not.

I've also heard people accuse AEP of falsifying meter readings.

Your electric infrastructure in WV stinks. A bird fart of a storm knocks out the power over widespread areas. We don't have that problem here, and frankly our storms are usually worse. For years AEP has been making big profits and not investing in infrastructure. That's on your regulators in WV, granting increases without questioning where the money goes.

Anyway, my power bills have not dramatically jumped. Maybe AEP just sucks.

So....bills rise BECAUSE of profit and dividends??? Lmao

For years AEP has been making big profits and not investing in infrastructure.

They’ve been spending $billions in infrastructure over the last few years across the various states they are located. They will be spending over $6billion alone over the next 2 years too.

Well they should have been spending more in WV. All that time I lived in or around Huntington I just thought it was normal for a bird fart storm to knock out the power. Turns out that isn't the case at all, we keep our power on during some real dickstompers. I've been gone for eight years, but my friends say it's still the same way in WV. Maybe WV is one of those "shitholes".

Did you live next to the hospital or city hall?

I am 100% serious, both in Huntington and near Barboursville the weakest storms would knock out my power. Now I understand that once you get out in the sticks the forested nature of the area makes it easier for a tree to fall on the only line bringing out local service, but that shouldn't be the case in Huntington. I don't know if the breaker system was crap, not enough redundancy, whatever. And AEP was slow as molasses in getting the power back on.

Aep headquarters should be attacked by fighter planes. Dirty rotten is what they are. Electric bills doubled here and wait till feb.

No it is that the terrain with lots of trees tends to knock power out easier. Then they prioritize repairs by density of customers. Areas like wv are always going to loose density prioritization to AEP markets like Columbus. When that derachio knocked power out across the Midwest 10 years ago it was a matter of working highest density to lowest density. Highest density pays the bills for power companies they need to get them back online to keep cash coming in.

Same here in Florida. Orlando Tampa Miami Jacksonville are always priority.

No I didn't live near the hospital or city hall. I did live on campus for a year and a half but I'm not including that

Just got my 'lectric bill for December the other day . . . anybody wanna compare?

My electric bill went from $190 to $308 compared to the same time last year. But the entire 30 day billing cycle was colder this year by 9 degrees.

Saw my home boys bitching back home in Fayetteville about their electric bills. Some paying around $500.00 this past month. Most were paying $300 to $400 range. Sounds like WV folk are paying out the butt hole for electric. Just in comparison, I have 3200 square feet, and my electric bill was $116.00 this past month, and my gas bill (have gas heat) was about the same. I can assure you it was likely colder here in Michigan than most parts of WV. I keep my heat set to 72 degrees.

If you lived in Wv why wouldn’t you have wood burning stoves to heat your house. When I was a kid we had a stove on each floor of our house. Would spend 2-3 weekends in the summer with my dad cutting splitting and stacking firewood for the winter. Never paid to heat a house. WV is smack dab in the middle of the great North American hardwood forest.

Did I mention I hook up to the neighbor's outlets when they're not paying attention? Up there in the hills where you live, you should invest in one of those outdoor furnaces that burn pellets and/or wood. Lots of rednecks up here have those.

i've tossed around the idea of putting in a wood furnace, thought about both indoor and outdoor. got a quote on one for my house a coupla years ago, was like $8500 or $9K installed. also thought about switching out my HVAC unit for a geothermal unit. more pricey on the front side, but would save in the long run and not have to cut wood . . . hell of it is, kind of enjoy cutting wood.

you making fun of burning wood. Very few still heat with wood. A ton of work burning coal. Making funnof wv only means you feel superior to others. Not a nice person. Move to NY.

Obama and the epa were going to ban burning wood. Trump stopped that ignorance. My son in law built a 200.000 dollar home and heats with wood he gets of the 200 acres he and my daughter own.

No one is making fun sisters. Diabetes getting to your brain.

Obama was never banning burning wood. Hell for a while they were offering a federal tax rebate on high efficiency style catalytic wood burners. Once again sisters the diabetes is eating your brain away.

Several reasons why some don't. As for me, do I want to spend time finding and splitting wood to save a few hundred dollars, or do I want to make a few cabinets during that same time? Easy choice for me, both when young and now that I'm older.
