We beat them and they suck and we won’t get much respect if they keep losing.

now who’s next, Bowling green 0-2 to start.
Losses to UCLA and Eastern KY. Really hope Marshall doesn’t look past this game and go on the road and have to take a loss just because we were not ready.

Savor the victory. I learned that after the 2003 win over Kansas state. The next Saturday wasn’t so kind. Hopefully, we’re that good and they aren’t that bad.

Super worried about the BG game, we are 2-13 there I believe. Its gonna be a closer game than we like I believe.

Maybe Notre Dame wasn’t a top 10 team but they most certainly don’t suck. You don’t play Ohio state in Columbus the way they did and suck. That sounds like all the expert national media pundits, who just a week before were ready to put them in the playoffs but because they lost to us they are suddenly terrible.
We came to play we weren’t intimidated and we flat out beat them. Whether they are great or not it’s still Notre Dame and it’s still the greatest win in our history sans Xavier. So yes we are going to crow for a while as a fan base.
I seem to remember the majority of our own Saban expert fan base saying we were going to get stomped, blown out etc. We have no chance etc., But now because we kicked their butt no gimmicks, no crazy plays suddenly they suck? Marshall fans crow all you want let coach huff worry about a BG let down

Notre Dame is, always, over-rated. Now, sometimes that means they are rated 4th and really should be 15th, other times it means they are rated 4th and should not be ranked at all. Time tells, but, because they play such a cupcake schedule, it often takes until bowl time to know which is which.

But it is precisely this over-rated status, the national fascination with what is, in reality 10th or so academic Catholic college (all of the Jesuit ones are vastly superior, along with others) the NBC deal, the holier than thou crap about “student athletes” that makes beating them great.

I will savor this for as long as people will listen. CH will take care of being prepared for the next game and the next.

Heck, Fat Donnie took his crew out and beat Oklahoma (which went 6-5 that year) back with USPAM was playing the joke Leastern independents, and the Spamies still talk about it, 40 years later.

Thank you so much for this valuable insight! I'm certain the coaching staff would never think of telling the team they need to focus on the next game. Quick! Someone get this to CH and the guys!!!

Your post would read more clearly if you used more commas.

What sources indicate Notre Dame is academically rated "10th" among Catholic Colleges?

No reason to worry about Huff and his staff not having the players ready and focussed until they give us one... I would expect the message at practice the last two days has been all about focus and intensity, no matter who is on the other sideline.

Bowling Green is 0-2, so we should fully expect the stadium to have as much energy as a funeral.
