Just torched Jim Justice about how politicians keep involving themselves in college sports.
I didn't catch the whole segment but it began talking about CSU's offense being shut down by Marshall and how they hoped Doc went to Justice's office and told him to shove it.

sounds like Doc planted a seed with someone at ESPN to do a little Justice push back. When Doc has a team full of problem kids and it takes him an entire year and recruiting class to clean-up the mess its seems its best for all that this subject just die.

Yeah, I am sure Doc called ESPN and made sure he planted someone to talk about it. They were talking about the bowl game and it shocked me he even said anything about it, considering how somewhat isolated it was. He didn't just say Justice, he was pretty specific on everything so it showed he read into it.

You'd be surprised how tight the sports talk world is. Take for example Tom Luginbill, who is all over ESPN and ESPNU SiriusXM Radio, he got his Masters Degree from Marshall in 1999, and I'm sure was able to provide some backstory info if asked during show prep meetings.

Chris Childers is the host of the show the comments were in. He is a MTSU grad and has always talked about G5 schools even back when he worked with Bill King. I like Childers.

In hindsight for Heater, who could really take any P5 job offered to him, pissing off the sitting governor of WV is about as threatening as a kitten dressed up as Darth Vader.
WV is a laughingstock state, broke, often ignored by real states, and had their governor and senator switch sides so frequently that they might as well be gender confused.
Only thing I fear of Jim Justice is being eaten by his fatassed self.

I like Childers, but he is about the only person on that channel that is worth a darn. Bill King was great. I get the feeling that a lot of the talent on that channel is just there because they got assigned there, knowing nothing much more about that sport as the next.

BTW, SXM is adding 24/7 (not 365, they will take the summers off) talk channels for the ACC and Pac 12. SEC is in negotiation, although Finebaum covers that for 5 hours a day already.

Finebaum sucks. For the 1st bowl game weekend he acknowledged all the bowls except ours with CSU and said, "Well, I think there's like 1 or 2 I am forgetting, I don't know." I wish Harvey Updyke had poisoned him and not the Toomer Trees.

We did beat all those teams tied with us or below us in our division and were 4-2 in the division with the only losses to the two teams finishing higher than us.

At home. This was another year we added to our home losses. Both losses this year to conference mates. We win those two home games and we are 9-3, win the bowl game and finish 10-3 and nobody is complaining.

Finebaum on SIRIUS XM would be gold especially if the callers was able to call in uncensored.
